This action was commenced by the plaintiff under section 6471 of the General Statutes of 1915 to recover for the defendant’s failure to release a mortgage on real property, the statutory damages of $100 and an attorney’s fee of $50. Judgment was rendered in favor of the plaintiff for $100 damages and $50 attorney’s fee, and the defendant appeals. •
