MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
LAMBROS, District Judge.
This action for copyright infringement was initiated by plaintiff Barbi Sargent against defendant American Greetings Corporation on June 7, 1982.
Plaintiff states in her complaint that in 1977 she created original works of art entitled “Strawberry Girl.” Appended to the complaint are six (6) water color paintings and twelve (12) pencil sketches for which on May 14, 1982 she obtained copyright registration VAu 34-113.
