Leroy Ingram was tried by a jury and convicted of rape and false imprisonment. He claims that the trial court erred by denying his motion to dismiss based on the state’s failure to provide him a speedy trial and by admitting similar transaction evidence. He also claims that his trial counsel was ineffective for failing to locate and subpoena material witnesses for the defense. We conclude that the trial court did not err by denying Ingram’s motion to dismiss and did not abuse its discretion by admitting evidence of a similar transaction.
