John M. Comegys leased the premises known as 719 Texas street, in the city of Shreveport, La., to the Shreveport Kandy Kitchen, a business conducted under that name but owned and operated by G. F. Eltife. Before the expiration of the lease Eltife executed and recorded a chattel mortgage in favor of Fred Martel upon the property and fixtures he had placed in the leased premises. After the expiration of the lease Eltife continued to occupy the property at the same monthly rental.
