PELL, Circuit Judge.

Defendant appeals his conviction following a jury trial of willful failure to file income tax returns for 1976 and 1977 in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7203. At trial defendant objected to the admission into evidence of statements he made to various agents of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), admission of evidence that he failed to file a return in 1978, and assorted instances of alleged prosecutorial misconduct.
