BENHAM, Justice.

Anthony Harris appeals from his conviction for malice murder arising from the shooting death of Quincy King. The evidence at trial, much of it from Harris’s companions on the day of the shooting, showed that Harris, while riding in a friend’s car, saw King at a gas station. Harris recognized King as a member of a group of men who had beaten him a month earlier. Harris instructed the driver, Tabious Jackson, to return to the place they had dropped off the car’s owner, Chanthavisouk Soumphonphakdy.
