This was an action brought by "Manda Myers, administratrix of the estate of Logan K. Myers, against the Indianapolis and St. Louis Railway Company, to recover damages for the death of plaintiff’s intestate, which was caused, as alleged in the declaration, by the negligence of the defendant railroad company, on the 13th day of February, 1883. Myers, at the time of his death, was in the service of the company, working on the track as a section hand. A freight train going west, after it left Ashmore, a station on the road, became separated, two cars and the caboose being detached from the train.…
