WECHSLER, J.

{1} Defendant Elisa Bravo appeals her conviction for child abuse resulting in the death of her four-year-old son, Rodrigo, in violation of NMSA 1978, § 30-6-1 (1997) (amended 2005). On appeal, Defendant argues that, because she was in custody but had not been given Miranda warnings, the district court erred in admitting into evidence two incriminating statements she made to police.
