INTRODUCTION

1 1 After pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, Craig Gurule was sentenced to a term of incarceration for five years to life. Gurule reserved his right to appeal the district court's ruling denying his motion to suppress evidence obtained through a search of his vehicle.
