In this case we are asked to consider whether an order of the Board of Registration in Medicine (board) denying the plaintiff’s petition to stay the indefinite suspension of her medical license may be reviewed by a single justice of this court pursuant to G. L. c. 112, § 64, or whether the order must be reviewed in the Superior Court pursuant to G. L. c. 30A, § 14.1 We conclude that neither statute applies, but that the *452plaintiff may nonetheless obtain review before a single justice under the certiorari statute, G. L. c. 249, § 4.
