In a suit for the specific performance of an alleged contract for the sale of land, the evidence showed the following: The defendant, the owner of the land in question, gave written authority, good for three days from date, to one Grier, a member of the firm of Hightower, Grier & Co., engaged in the *291real estate business, to sell the lot of land at a stipulated price.
