Action on the case to recover damages for injuries received by plaintiff through the alleged negligence of defendants’ chauffeur. Defendant filed plea of general issue. Verdict for plaintiff in the sum of $1,200.00. Defendant filed motion for new trial; also exceptions to certain rulings of presiding Justice. Case stated in opinion.

This is a case of collision between two automobiles. It has been before this court once before, and a verdict for the plaintiff was set aside. Skene v. Graham, 114 Maine, 229. Upon a retrial, the plaintiff prevailed, and the case comes up now on the defendant’s motion for a new trial and exceptions.
The Exceptions: The first exception is to the refusal of the presiding Justice to direct a verdict for the defendants, for the reason that the automobile driven by the plaintiff was not registered as required by statute, and therefore was unlawfully upon the road, and for the further reason that…
