This is an appeal from an order of the trial court revoking appellant’s probation.

*129On February 2, 1978,1 appellant was placed on probation for two years by the then presiding judge of the 145th Judicial District Court, Hon. Thomas Barlett, who was then sitting for the elected presiding judge, Hon. Jack Pierce. On October 5, 1978, the Hon. Herbert B. Hancock district attorney, filed an application for revocation of probation with Judge Pierce, who then ordered a warrant of arrest to issue for appellant.
