OPINION

{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant, Kenneth D. Bivens ("appellant"), appeals from a judgment of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in which the court denied his petition for post-conviction relief.

{¶ 2} On April 17, 2002, after entering a guilty plea, appellant was convicted in State v. Bivens, case No. 01CR-4489, of one count of voluntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, with a one-year firearm specification.
