On February 16, 2010 Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (“CSHL” or “the Plaintiff’) commenced this action against Ropes & Gray LLP (“R & G”) and Matthew P. Vincent (“Vincent” and collectively “the Defendants”), asserting causes of action for legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud based on the Defendants actions in drafting and prosecuting a patent for technology developed by CSHL employee Dr. Gregory Hannon.
