Mrs. English, by a long holographic will dated 18 days before her death, disposed of a large estate to many relatives ■ — near and ’ remote — of herself and deceased husband, diverting only a few gifts to friends and charities first, thus making altogether 101 special bequests; she then di rected the disposition of the entire residue in this concluding provision:
