Fritz and Melissa Swint (“Plaintiffs”) brought a medical malpractice action against multiple medical providers 1 including Tonya Mae, M.D. (“Dr. Mae”), and Pamela Roy, R.N. (“Nurse Roy”) (collectively, the “Defendants”), alleging the doctors and nurse breached the standard of care owed to Mr. Swint in failing to correctly position and/or reposition him prior to and during surgery, which resulted in permanent injury to his right arm.
