OPINION OF THE COURT (Filed July 7, 1970)

MARIS, Circuit Judge.

The defendant, the City of Wildwood, New Jersey, appeals from a judgment entered in the District Court for the District of New Jersey on a verdict returned by a jury in the amount of $250,000.00 in an action brought for damages for personal injuries arising out of an accident which occurred on the beach in Wildwood on August 14, 1966. No attack is here made on the jury’s finding that defendant’s negligence was the proximate cause of the accident.
