This .siuit was brought by .appellants against the Vanceburg, Salt Lick, Tolesboro .and Maysville Turnpike Road Company, alleging that they owned certain bonds issued by the Turnpike Company which were unpaid; that in the year 1897 in pursuance of the free turnpike act, Lewis county received from the Turnpike Company its turnpike for the purpose of its being used thereafter as a county road.
