This is an appeal from an order of the trial court entering judgment in favor of the plaintiff appellee, Household Consumer Discount Co. The record reflects that the plaintiff commenced this action by filing a complaint for money damages against the defendant appellant, Russell Pokorny, on August 2, 1976. The complaint was based on a note which had been executed by the appellant. The complaint recited that the amount which was due on the note was one thousand two hundred forty-two dollars and forty-four cents.
