On August 11, 1939, the Universal Credit Company instituted an action in detinue against the Botetourt Motor Company, Incorporated, to obtain possession of seven new Ford automobiles and three used automobiles, and gave bond in the penalty of $10,000, conditioned as the law directs. The property was seized by the sheriff and delivered to the plaintiff, which sold it without an order of court. On October 5, 1939, the case was transferred to the chancery side of the court.
