This appeal arises out of an action brought to enjoin and restrain the defendants, who include the supervisor of assessments, the treasurer and the State’s Attorney of Jackson County, from collecting or attempting to collect real estate taxes assessed against certain real estate in Jackson County commonly known as Evergreen Terrace. Evergreen Terrace consists of 38 buildings providing family housing for married students who attend Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
