The appellee recovered a judgment in the circuit court of Winnebago county against the appellant in the sum of $4,800 for personal injuries and from that judgment this appeal is prosecuted. The suit was based upon the following facts: Margaret I. Pendergast, daughter of the appellant, drove his car along West State street in the City of Rockford and parked it on the north side of the street at a point about 75 feet west of the west line of Winnebago street which intersects West State street at right angles.
