The appeal is to review the proceedings and decree on final settlement of an estate. The widow was the administra-trix of the husband’s estate. The personal property was insufficient to pay the debts of the estate. Among the items of real estate was the residence usually occupied by the husband in the city of Birmingham, of the appraised value of $6,500. The widow took possession of this property upon the husband’s death, received the rents therefrom, paid the taxes, kept up repairs and insurance thereon until her death, a period of more than nine years.
