This appeal is a sequel to Steindler v. Virginia Public Service Co., 163 Va. 462, 175 S. E. 888, 95 A. L. R. 220, to which reference may be had for a statement of the antecedent facts.
The litigation originated with the filing of a hill in equity by Steindler and others (sometimes hereinafter referred to as the complainants), to compel the Virginia Public Service Company, a corporation, to transfer to them on its books eighty shares of its preferred stock alleged to have been owned by them, to issue to them new certificates therefor, and to compel said corporation to pay to them damages for…
