¶ 1. Jeffrey Lorenzo Searcy appeals from a judgment convicting him of two counts of burglary, one as party to a crime, and an order denying his postconviction motion. He challenges his conviction on several disparate grounds. First, he argues that there was insufficient evidence to convict him of either of the two counts of burglary. Second, he claims that the jury received prejudicial extraneous information relating to his prior convictions. Third, he mounts a constitutional challenge to the admission of statements his cousin, Leisa Adams, made to police officers at the scene of his arrest.…
