State Ex Rel. Davis v. Town of Lake Placid

In 1925 about four or five hundred people lived in a community, town, or settlement in Highlands County east of Lake Stearns about a mile and a half, and about four miles west of the lower end of Lake Istokpoga. The northern edge of the area occupied by the community of people rested upon an arm of Lake Stearns which extended into the Southwest quarter of Section 30 of Township 36 South, Range 30 East.
