MEMORANDUM OPINION
JAMES S. SLEDGE, Bankruptcy Judge.
This case presents an issue not decided in any reported decision of which this Court is aware — whether a bankruptcy court may sua sponte transfer a case which was filed in the wrong district. This matter came before the court on March 26,1996, for a hearing on the Court’s “rule to show cause,” entered March 12, 1996.
