WILKINSON, Circuit Judge:

Appellant Antwan Jackson was convicted of murder and various drug and firearm offenses in connection with a drug distribution conspiracy in the Western District of Virginia. At trial, Jackson unsuccessfully opposed the introduction of an incriminating statement made by the murder victim, Johnell Greene.
