ERICKSTAD, Judge.

The plaintiff Elsie Haugen appeals from the judgment of the district court of Grand Forks County which dismissed the plaintiff’s action notwithstanding the verdict of the jury in favor of the plaintiff.

The pertinent allegations of her amended complaint, dated March 3, 1969, follow:

“That on or about February 7, 1967, the owner of premises at 16 South Third Street had allowed snow and ice to accumulate over a long period of time in such a manner that such compacted snow and ice created a hazardous and dangerous threat to the safety of the public, all in violation of the laws…
