This is an action of assumpsit brought in the circuit court of the United States for the eastern district of Virginia, by the defendants in error, against Masters and Son, to recover from them a balance of $77,966.13, arising from the sales'of guano, as stated in the bill of particulars, at pages three and four of the record.
The transactions out of which this dispute arose commenced on the 21st of January, 1854.
Barreda and Brother, residing in the city of Baltimore, were largely engaged in the importation of guano into the United States. Masters and Son were shipping and commission merchants…
