The sole issue on this petition for writ of certiorari by Jim Guy Tucker, the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, is whether the trial court has jurisdiction to hear a motion for new trial after a notice of appeal, pursuant to Act 333 of 1971, has been filed but before the appeal has been docketed in this court.
