This case arises from a dog bite inflicted upon the minor plaintiff by defendant’s dog on May 2, 1979. The incident occurred after plaintiff Shannon Marie Seim, two days from her seventh birthday, called upon defendant’s six-year-old son Scott. Tied to a tree in the backyard was defendant’s dog, Hollow. The dog was friendly and had no history of growling or snapping at members of the defendant’s family or at strangers.
