TATE, Circuit Judge:

This appeal arises from proceedings in a Chapter 7 (“Liquidation”) case filed under the Bankruptcy Code of 1978, 11 U.S.C. §§ 101 et seq. The essential issue concerns the exercise of the power of the bankruptcy court, in allowing claims against the debtor’s estate, to fix the “estimated” value of “any contingent or unliqui-dated claim”. 11 U.S.C. § 502(c)(1). The creditors-appellants contend that the bankruptcy court abused its discretion by fixing the estimated value as of the date the bankruptcy petition was filed.
