On the trial of this cause a variety of objections were made by the then defendant’s counsel, all which are presented for the consideration of this Court on bills of exceptions.
Several exceptions taken below and assigned for error here, are believed to be highly important in principle, and have received the deliberate consideration of this Court, aided by the arguments of eminent counsel.
