At the September term, 1877, of the Tazewell circuit court, the plaintiff in error was indicted for the murder of her husband, Peter Weyrich, by poisoning, and on the 19th of October, being one of the days of the same term of court, she presented to the court her petition, verified by her own affidavit and those of two other citizens of Tazewell county, praying for a change of venue in the cause, on account of the prejudice of the inhabitants of Tazewell county against her.
