KAYATTA, Circuit Judge.

Kelvin Santini-Santiago (“Santini”) pled guilty to being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(2). 1 Although the applicable sentencing guidelines range recommended a-term of imprisonment of twelve to eighteen months, the district court sentenced him to thirty-six months’ imprisonment to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
