WOLLMAN, Circuit Judge.
Robert Karlix appeals from the district court’s 1 order affirming the final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security (Commissioner), which denied his applications for benefits. We affirm.

On March 28, 2002, Karlix was admitted to the Trinity Medical Center (Trinity) for substance abuse treatment. On April 29, 2002, he returned to Trinity, complaining of bilateral calf tightness and a “pins and needles” sensation in both of his feet after walking three blocks. Afzal H.
