OPINION

ROBERTS, Judge.

The conviction is for the offense of possession of heroin; punishment was assessed at 12 years’ confinement. Two grounds of error are raised on appeal; the sufficiency of the evidence is not challenged.

Appellant’s initial contention concerns the failure of the trial court to permit a defense witness to testify concerning his reputation for being a peaceful and law-abiding citizen.
