This is an appeal from a civil commitment under the provisions of G.L. c. 123,§§ 7 and 8.

It appears that a hearing was held July 16, 1985 on a petition of the Superintendent of the Bournewood Hospital for the commitment of the appellant, Robert Peters, to that facility as a mentally 01 person requiring hospitalization due to the likelihood of serious harm to himself and/or others.
