Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Rienzi, J.), rendered January 4, 1988, convicting him of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

At trial, the defendant objected to the closing of the courtroom during the testimony of an undercover officer. At the hearing which preceded closure, the officer testified that she had been assigned to the Brooklyn North Narcotics Area for 17 months, beginning in March 1987.
