Plaintiff in error, Coy Thompson, was indicted in Cook county for the crime of murder, alleged to have been committed on June 30, 1931. The indictment was returned July 6, 1931, and, on the same day, the defendant was arraigned, counsel appointed, jury waived and the cause tried before the court. No bill of exceptions has been preserved, but the record shows the evidence was heard, the defendant found guilty of murder, as charged in the indictment, and the age of the defendant found to be 32 years.
