1Opinion of the CourtBarnes, J.

The General Assembly of Maryland, by the Acts of 1969, Chapter 3 enacted a statute governing the estates of decedents generally. The new statute, Code (1957, 1969 Repl. Vol.), included the following sections:

“Subtitle III”
“Sec. 3-202. Dower and curtesy abolished.

The estates of dower and curtesy are abolished.”

“Subtitle XII”
“Sec. 12-102. Applicability.

Unless otherwise specifically provided in another section of another subtitle of this article, the provisions of this article shall apply as follows :(a) Subtitles. . .III. . .shall apply to estates of decedents dying on or after January 1,1970.”
