MEMORANDUM OPINION

KEADY, Chief Judge.

In these consolidated diversity actions, Ruth Louise Williams and Edward Smith, Louisiana citizens and adult children of the defendant, sue their mother, Agnes Bambauer, a Mississippi citizen, for bodily injuries sustained by them in a one-car accident occurring on February 5, 1970. On that date, the defendant was driving a Ford Falcon station wagon in which plaintiffs were riding as rear-seat passengers, when the automobile, proceeding northwardly on U. S.
