Bruce Kelly appeals from the court’s order reducing his monthly maintenance obligation from $900 to $450. He argues on appeal that the court erred in failing to further reduce the amount and in failing to make the reduction retroactive to the date of his petition. We affirm.

Bruce Kelly and respondent Mary Lou Kelly divorced in March, 1984. The court adopted the couple’s separation agreement, which called for Mr. Kelly to pay a $900 monthly maintenance payment as well as a monthly life insurance premium of $87. Mr. Kelly made no maintenance payments after October of…
