Petitioner Benjamin Beekman, who is presently incarcerated at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone, New York, petitions pro se for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. On February 19,1992, Beekman pleaded guilty in the New York State Supreme Court, Schenectady County (Harrigan, J.) to one count of burglary in the second degree and one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree in two separate indictments.
