Mrs. Anna R. Savoie, plaintiff, brings this suit against defendant, C.B. Snell, doing business as West Bank Motors, the defendant being a dealer in secondhand automobiles. Plaintiff alleges that she purchased from defendant, on July 18, 1945, a 1939 Ford coupe automobile for $581.75, with a warranty from the vendor that the automobile was in good operating condition. The petition further recites that the car was in a defective condition at the time of the sale, and that under the provisions of Maximum Price Regulation 540, established by the Price Administrator under Emergency Price Control…
