This case involves a child custody dispute over Miga Faith Canning, a 5-year-old female child, between her father, the appellant, and her maternal grandparents, the appellees.
The child was 4 months old when her father and mother divorced in 1977. With the consent of the parties, custody was awarded to the mother and liberal visitation privileges to the father.
