ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE COURT OF APPEALS

Moore, Justice:

This case is before us on a writ of certiorari to review the unpublished decision of the Court of Appeals affirming the trial judge’s refusal to qualify an expert witness. We reverse.

Petitioners Mitchell and Mary Lee commenced these consolidated actions for medical malpractice and loss of consortium seeking recovery for damages arising from the amputation of Mr. Lee’s left leg.
