The first question made in this cause is jurisdiction, which is an important one that ought to be settled to prevent its recurrence in other eases. By the second section of the third article of the constitution, the judicial power of the United States is extended to all cases *444in equity2 between persons therein described; it also authorizes congress to establish inferior courts.
